OMG! No wonder I put off updating my website. An entire day devoted to photographing the new work and then the posting! I will be glad when someone finds a way to make the posting process a bit more friendly. Of course, it could not have anything to do with my computer skills since I have been using one almost since they were invented. Anyway, check out all the new paintings.
I am very excited to see Euphorbia Shadow and City Middle posted. I love all the new works, but City Middle took the longest. Almost 4 months. I have noticed a definite patten in my working style. Paint like crazy, stop and stare, then I usually hate it and stare some more. After a day or two of just not liking it, I suddenly know exactly what to do. And just like that, I am in love the colors, the texture, and the feeling. When City Middle finally emerged, it gave me a tingling feeling all over.
Euphorbia Shadow feels like a sunny day. The texture was fun to create, almost like a piece of plastic or cellophane is laying there. Party in Red was another fun painting. The sparkling foil created just the feeling I was looking for.
I hope you enjoy the works. Let me know what you think.
Wishing you all the best,
Gail
